Matt Segal
Hi! My name is Matt and this is my third year as a Counselor at Decathlon Sports Club. However, before becoming a counselor I was a camper for over 15 years! I recently earned my Teaching Credential in Physical Education in September of 2023 from San Jose State University. I graduated from Monta Vista High School in 2011 and from Washington State University in 2015 (the same school Klay Thompson went to, Go Cougs/Go Warriors). I am super excited to continue to be a part of this community, as I have very fond memories. As a former camper, what I enjoyed most about Decathlon was the friendly and energetic staff that truly cared about encouraging a safe and fun environment. My favorite activity at Decathlon is Capture the Flag, because I enjoy running. While I enjoy a variety of sports (football, basketball, street hockey), my favorite sport is baseball. I am also a big San Francisco Giants fan; Go Giants!
An interesting fact about myself is that I am a personal trainer. This is where my love and passion for physical activity started before becoming a PE teacher. I love to exercise! Outside of school, sports, and exercising, I am a huge bookworm. I am always reading a book and enjoy a variety of genres: fantasy, science fiction, sports, and nonfiction.
I hope that all of my campers will have a fun and memorable summer at Decathlon, and that they will find at least one activity that they learned and played in camp which they will continue to enjoy after the summer ends. Oh, and make lots of friends of course!
Abraham Paley
Hi! My name is Abraham Paley, and this is my first summer at Decathlon Sports Camp! I was born and raised in Palo Alto and this fall, I will be starting my senior year of college at Elon University, where I am majoring in Sport Management and hope to either be a sports agent or work in a front office role. This past semester I had the incredible opportunity and privilege to study abroad in London, which will forever have a lasting impact on me. For most of my life I have either been going to summer camps or working at them, in locations ranging from Menlo Park all the way to Long Island, New York. I have played numerous sports growing up, and still continue to enjoy basketball in my spare time. Some sports I follow religiously are the NBA, NFL, college football and college basketball. I’m looking forward to spending the summer working at Decathlon Sports Club; I would not want to spend my summer any other way, and I hope to make your kids feel the same way!
Wes Calhoun
Hi! My name is Wes Calhoun, and I am a rising junior at Los Alto High School. I have been at Decathlon for over 9 years now, and some of my best memories of summer have been with this amazing camp! I am a second year junior counselor, and I couldn't be more excited for this summer. I am and always have been a very active kid, and this camp is perfect for me! It's allowed me to meet new people I never would have otherwise met, and I have made new friendships and bonded with counselors more than I ever thought I would. Some of the amazing staff have become my role models, and I've looked up to them for years. Outside of camp, some of my favorite sports are basketball and baseball, both of which I have played at Los Altos High School for my two years there so far. Just recently, I was called up to our varsity baseball team and we played in a division 3 CCS tournament (CCS - Central Coastal Section). I have also been a part of karate, swimming, soccer, and wrestling.
I have become more of a leader and a mentor throughout all of my years at camp. It's boosted my confidence and my success, and I'm sure it will for your kid too! I have 2 siblings that both come to camp, one as a JCIT and one as a full counselor. This camp has become a part of my life and a tradition for every summer. I look forward to it every year and can't wait to keep it going. It has taught me so much, and has always been fun. I know your camper will feel the same way by the end of it!

Avi Sanchez
Hi, my name is Avi, and this is my eighth summer at Decathlon, my fourth summer working at camp, and my second summer as a counselor. Having been born and raised in Mountain View, I’m thankful to Decathlon for providing me with a space to have fun and make lasting memories from elementary school all the way until college. Decathlon does a fantastic job catering to all age ranges and levels of sporting ability, which is why I’ve attended for so many years. I graduated from Mountain View High School in the Class of 2023 and I currently attend the University of Michigan’s school of engineering, majoring in computer science. In high school I participated in track and cross country, but enjoyed playing sports like soccer and football recreationally.
In college, I love running and going to the gym to stay active. I’m also a huge football fan, and I'm hoping my hometown team, the 49ers, can make a comeback this season. Though my sophomore year was a blast, I’m excited to be back home, not only to get to work at camp, but also to escape the freezing temperatures! In my free time I love to bike, read, play the guitar, and watch movies. Currently I’m learning songs on the acoustic guitar from Bob Dylan, the Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac - music tastes inspired by listening to 70s and 80s radio while driving with my dad. My hobbies are ever changing, so if you have any recommendations for new activities to try out, let me know! I’m looking forward to working at Decathlon, and I hope to make a summer of fun and lasting memories for my campers.
Asher Darling
Hi! My name is Asher Darling. Decathlon has been the highlight of my summer every year since before I started kindergarten. This will be my 11th summer at Decathlon and my third as a junior counselor. In the fall, I will be a senior at Menlo High School, where I play basketball and golf. I have a younger sister, Elise, who is a rising sophomore at Menlo and also a junior counselor. Growing up, I played baseball, basketball, soccer and football, and I'm a huge University of Michigan and Bay Area sports fan. Outside of my passion for sports, I love history and am heavily involved in journalism at my high school. I currently serve as the Editor-in-Chief of Menlo's student newspaper, The Coat of Arms. As a JC, I look forward to recreating the amazing atmosphere that made camp unforgettable for me!
Elise Darling
Hi, my name is Elise Darling and this is my ninth summer at Decathlon. I have been going to camp since I was six and it has always been the highlight of my summer. I am a rising sophomore at Menlo High School where I play basketball and golf. Growing up, I played just about every sport imaginable and having a very athletic older brother meant that there was always an intense game awaiting me. Decathlon has been a fun way for me to play the sports I love, try new ones, and most of all make a ton of friends. I am super excited to make sure your kids feel the exact same way!
Group 2
Guy Robbins
Hi! My name is Guy Robbins, and I’m really excited for my first summer with Decathlon. I’ve always loved playing sports. Soccer and basketball were my favorites growing up, but I had fun playing just about anything. I graduated from Mountain View High School where I was on the Track and Field team, and I’m now a rising junior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying electrical engineering. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, rock climbing, and spending time in nature. I’m always up for an adventure or a good laugh, and I’m looking forward to making this summer a fun and memorable one for everyone at camp!
Ilan Gerber
Hi, my name is Ilan, and I am a rising Junior at Mountain View High School. I have very fond memories of going to Decathlon when I was in elementary school, and I'm so excited to be involved in this amazing camp again, this time as a Junior Counselor. Sports are my biggest hobby. I am a huge fan of the local teams, especially the Sharks, Warriors, Giants, and 49ers. I've played basketball, baseball, and soccer, and currently run track and cross country at MVHS. Academically, I strive for success and am very interested in cybersecurity as a career path. I am so excited to have a fun summer with my campers, and I can't wait to bring more energy and enthusiasm to the camp. My goal is that every camper will feel included and have an amazing time!
Ethelle Houvin
Hi! My name is Ethelle, and this will be my fifth summer at Decathlon and my first summer as a junior counselor. I started as a camper when I was little, and immediately fell in love, and getting to try all the different sports, making new friends, and sharing memories with everyone was definitely always some of my top summer highlights. Some of my best summer memories come from Decathlon—the crazy spirit days, awesome games, and the counselors who made everything feel so fun and special. This camp meant a lot to me growing up. It was a place where I could be myself, try new things, and make great friends.
Now I go to Los Altos High School, where I play water polo in the fall and swim in the spring. I’ve always loved being active, and I’m super excited to bring that same energy and enthusiasm to camp this year as a junior counselor. It feels really special to be on the other side this summer, helping create the same kind of unforgettable summers that meant so much to me as a kid. I’m looking forward to meeting all the campers, getting loud for spirit, and making this summer one to remember!
Group 3
Liam Gerber
Hi! I’m Liam, and I’m excited to be spending another summer at Decathlon. This will be my 5th summer at Decathlon and first summer as a counselor. My journey with Decathlon began as a camper many years ago, and now, many summers later, I’m back as a counselor. Growing up in Mountain View just a few minutes from camp, Decathlon gave me the opportunity to play all of the sports I loved, create connections with other campers, and make lasting memories. It will be my goal this summer to provide all of my campers, regardless of athletic ability, with an unforgettable summer, filled with fun competition, new friendships, and lasting memories.
I graduated from Mountain View High School in 2023 and am now a rising Junior at the University of Texas in Austin studying psychology and minoring in business. Growing up, I was an avid sports player and played basketball, baseball, and soccer. I played soccer competitively until my Freshman year of high school and later played for Mountain View High’s soccer team during my sophomore year. In college, I play intramural soccer and enjoy going to the gym to get daily exercise. I am also a huge sports fan. From UT sports, especially football (Hook ‘Em), to Bay Area sports teams like the San Jose Sharks or 49ers, I am a diehard supporter and could talk about my favorite players, memories, and games for an endless amount of time. Do not hesitate to come talk to me about anything sports!
Outside of sports, I thoroughly enjoy hiking with my family and friends and exploring new beaches that the beautiful California coast has to offer. Living in Texas now for most of the year, I’ve realized there really is nothing like the California beaches. I look forward to an action packed and memorable summer!
Carlos Acosta
Hello! My name is Carlos Acosta, and I was born and raised in Colombia. My favorite sports are soccer and basketball, which I’ve been playing most of my life—especially soccer. This will be my fourth year working at camp, and I’m really excited to be back. A bit about my background: I started playing soccer at the age of 7 in a well-regarded sports academy in Colombia called Compensar. At age 9, I also began training in basketball. With Compensar, I had the opportunity to compete nationally in the “Pony Fútbol” league, which was a big step in my athletic journey.
Over the years, I’ve continued to grow both as an athlete and as a person. Last year, I competed at a semi-professional level, representing my university, ECI, in Colombia. Due to personal reasons, I later transferred to a different university and had to leave the team. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Foreign Languages at Uniminuto University. That’s a little bit about me! I’m really looking forward to spending the summer working at camp, connecting with others, and making the most of this experience!
Jenna Bergendahl
Hi! My name is Jenna and I am a rising senior at Monta Vista High School. This will be my seventh year at Decathlon and my second summer as a JC. Decathlon has always been a highlight of my summer, and it has allowed me to grow my passion and love for sports. As a camper, I loved playing Capture the Flag, ping-pong during free time, and making new friends! Outside of camp, I enjoyed playing soccer, softball and basketball. However, after I decided I loved volleyball the most, I have been focusing on playing it for seven years. In my free time, I love hanging out with friends, listening to music, running, eating good food, and playing beach volleyball. I can’t wait for another awesome summer at Decathlon!
Group 4
Jackson Dewberry
Hey everyone! My name is Jackson Dewberry. I have three years of experience as a camper at Decathlon, and this year will be my first as a counselor. Decathlon was always my favorite camp growing up, so I’m beyond excited to help create that same amazing experience for the campers this summer.
I’ve lived in San Jose my whole life and attended Loyola Elementary and Blach Intermediate through 8th grade. I’m currently heading into my senior year at Chico State, where I’m studying Communications with a minor in Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management.
I’ve always been a huge sports fanatic! Growing up I played baseball, soccer, basketball, football, and volleyball. In college, I’ve stayed active by participating in many intramural sports. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking, playing basketball at the gym, spending time with friends and family, golfing, and making informational sports TikToks.
I’ve always loved spending time with kids—probably something I picked up from my dad, who’s a teacher. In the future, I hope to become an event planner for sports teams or work in a role that keeps me involved in the world of sports (if you couldn’t tell, I’m passionate about sports!). I’m so excited to spend the summer at Decathlon Sports Club and can’t wait to have a blast with all the kiddos!
Jonah Altschuler
Hi, my name is Jonah Altschuler and I will be going into my senior year at Los Altos High School. I attended Decathlon as a camper for 4 years, and my time there sparked my love for sports from a very young age. I love playing and watching sports, and I currently play both soccer and baseball for Los Altos High School, along with competitive club soccer. Sports have played an instrumental role in my life, as they have taught me the values of teamwork, resilience, and hard work. In my freetime, I love traveling around the world with my family and experiencing new cultures and lifestyles. While I love traveling over breaks and over the summer, I spend most of my time on sports and academics, as those are two of my biggest priorities. On the weekends, I love hanging out with my friends and exploring new places, and I am so grateful for the connections I have made. I can’t wait to meet all of your kids this summer while working at Decathlon, and I look forward to being a camp counselor!
Sahil Qureshi
Hi, my name is Sahil Qureshi. This will be my 8th summer at Decathlon, and my first summer working here. I am from Palo Alto, and am a rising junior at Gunn High School. I've played many sports throughout my life, including basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. In addition to playing, I also enjoy coaching and have coached both middle school flag football and AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) basketball. In my free time I love watching sports (go Raiders and Warriors!), working out, and learning new things. I'm super excited for this summer and can't wait to meet all the campers and help give them the same amazing experience I had here at Decathlon!
Group 5
Eytan Goldhaber-Fiebert
Hi! My name is Eytan Goldhaber-Fiebert, and this is my 10th year at Decathlon, and the first year I’m working as a counselor. I’ve just graduated from Kehillah Jewish High School in Palo Alto, and next year I am taking a gap year in Israel, after which I will be attending Harvard University, where I plan to major in Computer Science and Psychology.
Sports have always been a big part of my life. I love watching and playing many sports, but my favorite is basketball. I have played basketball all my life, and at the high school level, all 4 years. In addition to basketball, I have enjoyed competing in high school track, tennis, and cross country. Beyond sports, I enjoy co-captaining my school’s Model UN team, teaching youth classes at my local synagogue, reading, and spending time with my family, friends, and 2 cats.
Decathlon holds a special place for me. It fostered friendships, deepened my passion for sports, and served as a space where I could freely learn and grow while having fun. Now, as a counselor, I understand that I have a big responsibility. I am committed to ensuring that your children have a safe, positive, and enriching experience this summer. I know how much this camp means to me, and I will work hard to provide that same experience for your kids. I’m excited to get to know them, and I’m looking forward to the summer ahead!
Eli Sobel
Hi, I’m Eli! This is my first summer at Decathlon and I couldn’t be more excited to get started. I’ve been playing basketball since second grade and now play the two or three on my school’s varsity team — though I’ll jump into just about any game that’s competitive and fun. I’m a huge Golden State Warriors fan (Steph is my favorite player — obviously), and I plan to play intramural sports at Duke University, where I’ll be starting this fall.
I just graduated from Kehillah High School in Palo Alto, where I helped start our Model UN club and served as senior class co-president. I’ve always loved working with others, whether it’s in a game, a team project, or a good old-fashioned camp relay race. I also have a younger brother named Jacob, and when I’m not on the court, you’ll probably find me watching a game, hanging out with friends, or eating something with cheese — my favorite food.
I’m planning to study public policy and hope to work in politics or government one day, but for now, I’m just excited to spend the summer outside, playing sports, and helping campers have the best time possible. Let’s make it a great one!
Group 6
Charlie Premo
Hi! My name is Charlie Premo, and I’m a local Bay Area kid from Willow Glen. I graduated from Bellarmine in 2023, and I’m now entering my Junior year at Gonzaga University where I am majoring in Finance and Data Analysis with a minor in Sports Management. Sports have always been a very important part of my life, starting when I was a young kid attending my older brother’s games and watching the giants dynasty start. I was a very energetic kid and loved running around, so my mom signed me up for every sport she could think of (probably so I would stop annoying her)! I played little league baseball, soccer, flag football, and my eventual favorite sport basketball. I played other sports throughout my life, including volleyball and running cross country, and participated in various sports for fun with my friends and family like pickleball, tennis, and hockey. However, basketball will always be my favorite, and I joined travel basketball teams in Middle and High School and played for my school. Around Covid, I lost a lot of motivation and passion for sports and basketball, and ended up falling out of it for a couple years, before getting back into it now that I’m at college. My friends and I play every intramural sport we can, and for basketball I’m our designated “player coach” because of my background experience. I am a diehard Bay Area Sports fan and love attending as many Giants games as I can while I’m home. This will be my first summer at Decathlon, however I participated in very similar camps all across the Bay Area, and I’m really excited to get started!
Besides sports, I enjoy catching up on TV shows and movies with my mom as well as listening to music and playing games with my friends and family. I’m the youngest of 4 so I’m used to competition, and the recent games we have been playing are Clue and Catan, as well as Chess this year. I participate in student consulting with local entrepreneurs in a program through my school, and I hope to use that experience and my degree to pursue a career in the sports business world, either working with a franchise directly or being part of the media. I am incredibly excited to be a part of Decathlon this summer!
Andrew Onodera
Hello! My name is Andrew Onodera and I am a rising sophomore at Los Altos High School. I hope to pursue a career in engineering, which is reflected by the classes I am currently taking. In terms of sports, I enjoy basketball, playing for my high school and different programs like AAU, Tri City and FYB. I have also played baseball and football for Triple A, my school and Next Level, but I don't play them anymore. I have been going to decathlon since I was in 4th grade, and this will be my 6th year attending. Out of every summer camp I have been to, this is easily my favorite, as the counselors and staff are very welcoming and the camp is very fun! This being my first year as a junior counselor, I hope to pass down the same experience I had to campers!
Group 7
Ryan Spence
Hi! My name is Ryan, I graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in the class of 2024, and will now be going into my second year at Arizona State University. I am majoring in Film and Media Production, and hope to be a director after graduation. I love working hands-on with cameras and writing stories that will inspire people. I have played basketball and soccer my whole life, and continue to play in intramurals at ASU. I go to the gym daily, and fitness and health are some of my top priorities. Regarding past employment, I have worked at the Saratoga Country Club as a Pro Shop and Golf Cart attendant.
Outside of school and sports, I love going to the beach and hiking with my friends. I listen to all kinds of music and love going on late-night drives. I have an older brother who goes to San Jose State University. Last summer, I worked at the Saratoga Country Club summer camp and had a great experience with all the kids. I am excited to start my first summer here as a counselor and have fun. I hope to have a great time at Decathlon Sports Club with all the campers!
Spencer Toland
Hi! My name is Spencer Toland, I'm a rising sophomore at Menlo High School, and this is my 6th year at Decathlon. I first came to camp about 8 years ago, but I haven't been here every summer because of the pandemic and a few injuries. I've made some of my best memories and built very close friendships every summer. I've played a bunch of different sports, but my favorite is probably football, and I play football and golf for my high school. Outside of sports I volunteer in my community, read, cook, and love hanging out with my friends. I'm super excited to become a Decathlon JC as it's always been a goal of mine. I'm looking forward to meeting all of the campers and being a positive influence on them. I'm excited to help my campers have a great summer like I always did!
Group 8
Khalil Qureshi
Hi! My name is Khalil Qureshi. This will be my tenth summer at Decathlon and my second summer working here. I will be going into my freshman year at UC Davis studying economics. I was born and raised in Palo Alto where I played many seasons of basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. While I have spent many hours as a player, I have also spent a lot of time coaching basketball and flag football. During my free time, I like to watch basketball, Golden State Warriors specifically, watch movies/TV shows, and try new foods. My main goal at Decathlon is to help the campers have the same amazing experience I had, and I am super excited to be working at camp this summer!
Ori Gillai
Hi, my name is Ori. I just graduated from Los Altos High School and am an incoming freshman at Columbia University, where I’ll be majoring in computer science. This will be my tenth summer at Decathlon and my fourth year working here as a counselor/JC. As a camper, Decathlon was the highlight of every one of my summers. From running the mile on the beach to participating in the camp-wide basketball tournament, some of my fondest memories were made here. As a Junior Counselor, I found it extremely fulfilling to share the same energy and excitement that I’ve always felt about Decathlon with my campers—while also imparting the same values of positive competition and teamwork that camp instilled in me. I’m looking forward to doing so again this summer as a Co-Counselor! Outside of camp, I enjoy playing basketball, hiking in the hills around the Bay, and reading a good book.
Group 9
Tommy Sah
Hi! My name is Tommy Sah, and I’m a rising junior at Connecticut College majoring in Biology. I’m passionate about medicine and plan to attend medical school to become a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. This past year, I spent three months volunteering at CoRSU Hospital in Uganda, where I assisted in pediatric orthopedic screenings—a truly life-changing experience. I also contributed to a scientific publication on post-transcriptional regulation by YBX3 with Professor Amy Cooke this past year.
I played two seasons on the Varsity Men’s Lacrosse team at Haverford College and grew up playing AA travel ice hockey for the San Jose Jr. Sharks, where I was a few years ahead of Macklin Celebrini. These days, I love mountain biking and skateboarding all around Northern California and the world! So far, I've been to skateparks in Uganda, Wyoming, Utah, Lake Tahoe, and hopefully more to come! My journey with Decathlon began in 2009 when I was six years old. After that first day on the Blach campus, I was hooked—and I’ve now spent 15 unforgettable summers at camp. Becoming a counselor was a dream sparked by the amazing role models I had growing up here, and I’m so excited to return for another summer, this time to help create the same kind of experience for a new generation of campers. I can’t wait to meet you all!
Carter Leban
Hi my name is Carter Leban and I’m 16 years old. I'm a rising junior at Los Altos High School. I’ve been a camper at Decathlon for 6 years, and this summer will be my first year working as a Junior Counselor. My favorite sport is football. I played flag football for 8 years before transitioning to tackle football in high school, playing at a varsity level as a sophomore. I also played club soccer for 7 years. As a camper, Decathlon was always something I looked forward to, and so I can't wait to spend more summers at camp!
Group 10
Trey Calhoun

I am super privileged to have been going to this amazing camp for such a long time, and it has definitely had a major impact on my love for sports. I am a rising junior at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I am studying business. I have two younger siblings, one who is a Junior Counselor, and one who is a JCIT, so our entire family has been involved in Decathlon for a very long time. I have played all types of sports since I was a kid but in high school I played Basketball and Golf. I still enjoy playing sports in college, although not at the collegiate level unfortunately, and hope to make your child's experience at Decathlon a great one! Outside of sports I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, and going to the gym. Decathlon has morphed me to become who I am and I hope that it will do the same for your children and that they have a great summer!
Jack Bucich
Hi, my name is Jack and this is my tenth year at Decathlon. I just graduated high school and will attend The University of Washington next year. I have spent my summers at Decathlon for over half of my life, and love the game of baseball. I have played it since I was four years old and am a huge Giants fan! In my free time I love watching The Sandlot, playing football and soccer, and am always available for a game of catch. Decathlon has been a huge part of my life for the last decade and every year, I look forward to coming back. I hope to create fun memories for as many campers as I can, just like the ones I had growing up. I also have a 13 year old brother who loves coming to Decathlon year after year!
Group 11
Cassie Kichinbotham
Hi! My name is Cassie Hickinbotham and this is my second summer at Decathlon. I am so honored and excited to be returning to camp, not only for the experience but for the special memories I get to continue to make here. I am from Campbell California, where I played various sports growing up. I played softball for a few years growing up. I then began dancing where I was on a competitive team for over 7 years. I finished off my sports career by playing goalkeeper for the field hockey team at Branham High School, where I graduated in 2023. This coming fall I will continue with my college career attending Colorado State University for my third year, majoring in Communications with a minor in Media Studies.
Outside of school, I am very passionate about music. I love all genres and I especially love to attend concerts in my free time. I also love to spend time in nature, such as hiking, camping, or skiing in the Colorado mountains. I am very excited to be involved and work at Decathlon again, and I hope to make as positive of an impact for the campers as I had when I was younger.
Ellie Katsav
Hi! My name is Ellie Katsav and I’m a rising junior at Los Altos High School. In the past, I’ve played a variety of sports including field hockey, track and field, basketball, and more. I have two brothers who both came to camp for many years, and my younger brother is going to be a J7 this year. This is my sixth year at Decathlon but I first came to camp in kindergarten and absolutely loved it! I’ve loved being a camper, JCIT, and a JC last year so I am very excited to be a JC again this summer! I hope to make this summer full of energy and amazing memories for the young campers so they can fall in love with camp like I did in Group 11!
Lizzy Moravick
Hi! My name is Lizzy, and I'm part of the Stanford Diving Club and have played soccer for almost 11 years — it's still one of my favorite things to do, but now I only play for my school team. I’m happiest when I’m outside, whether it's being active or just enjoying nature. I'm currently a freshman at Los Altos High School, and I love being involved with my school's community. I also love working with kids, which is why I’m so excited to be back for my third year at camp!
Group 12
Emily Jacquemin
Hi everyone! My name is Emily, and I’m so excited to be back for my second summer here at Decathlon! I truly loved being part of camp last year and can’t wait to make even more amazing memories with all of you this summer. I grew up in Sunnyvale and graduated from Homestead High School in 2022. I’m currently heading into my senior year at Arizona State University, where I’m studying Business Marketing with a minor in Psychology. I transferred to ASU from the University of Hawaii, and my goal is to work in the marketing and advertising industry—ideally within the world of sports!
Sports have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played competitive soccer and field hockey throughout high school, and I even had the opportunity to coach a young team with Hawaii United Football Club while I was living in Hawaii. That experience was incredibly meaningful and helped spark my passion for working with young athletes—ultimately leading me here to Decathlon!
When I’m not at camp or school, I love going to concerts, hitting the beach, playing pickleball, and traveling whenever I can. I’m so excited to be back at camp this summer and can’t wait to continue creating positive, lasting memories with your kids!
Nishka Gollamudi
Hi, my name is Nishka Gollamudi and this is my seventh summer at Decathlon. This camp has been a big part of my life and I look forward to playing, learning, and growing every summer with old and new friends. I attend Mountain View High School and I’m going into my junior year. At school I was a part of the Dance Spectrum program and although I won’t be in it next year, I love dancing and do Indian classical dance outside of school. I also do Taekwondo after school and help the young kids who attend classes. When I was in elementary school I enjoyed playing soccer and softball and learning the piano, and in middle school I started my dance classes and played cello. Now, in high school, I am still doing dance and taekwondo. I am part of my school's Ambassadors program and help people at MVHS get situated into high school life as well as take care of themselves and their mental health. I am also a peer counselor, and want to continue helping people in the future. I love hanging out with my family, especially my brothers who I get to play catch with and my friends who are very supportive and sweet. I also love music, and have the privilege of going to amazing concerts! This camp has made me a better person and I’m very excited to spend another summer here. I hope this summer will be just as amazing as the others!
Aylin Orens
Hi, my name is Aylin. This will be my ninth consecutive summer at Decathlon (except for Covid) and my first one as a Junior Counselor. When I first came to Decathlon I was very shy, but when I met my counselor and JC, they were so nice and fun, I had a blast. They showed me sports I had never played, and taught me how to do so many things. Ever since then I have loved this summer camp. I have made so many friends and have wonderful memories of playing Gaga Ball, tie-dying my camp shirts and eating popsicles. Decathlon helped me grow not just in sports but also in kindness and in being a good teammate.
This fall I will be starting high school at The Webb Schools. Currently I dance and play soccer. I always enjoy helping younger dancers at my dance studio. In the past, I have played volleyball, basketball, baseball and ran track. Outside of sports, I like listening to audiobooks, making bracelets, and baking cookies for my friends. I have a lot of energy and I love being active. I am really excited to bring my love for Decathlon and my energy to help your camper have the best summer ever!

Anna Kolpakova
Hello! My name is Anna Kolpakova. I am 20 years old and will be going into my junior year at the University of San Diego where I am studying accounting and economics. I graduated from Mountain View High School in 2023. This will be my first summer at Decathlon, and I can't wait! Previously I've worked at other summer camps, and the local Boba Bliss in Mountain View! In San Diego I tutor economics and worked as an sports referee. Before college I did gymnastics for the majority of my life and competed on the MVHS team (go spartans). Nowadays, I do a lot of rock climbing. I've spent my last semester studying abroad in Madrid and traveling the world. I love working with kids and making new friends, so I'm so thankful to have this opportunity and can't wait for what this summer brings!
Millie Lebaron
Hi! My name is Millie LeBaron and I am so excited to be working as a counselor at Decathlon this summer. This will be my first year here, and I can’t wait to meet everyone! I am from Los Altos, California, and attended Covington Elementary, Egan Junior High, then Saint Francis High School. I graduated from Saint Francis in 2024 and am now a rising sophomore at Santa Clara University. At SCU I am double majoring in Child Studies and Communications. After graduating college, I hope to attend grad school for a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Growing up, I played lots of different sports—some of my favorites were soccer, softball, and volleyball. In high school, I focused on water polo and swimming, competing year-round. While both were demanding, I loved the team spirit and competitive atmosphere. Some of my favorite memories include traveling to Malta with my water polo team and swimming in the 200 relay at WCAL. To stay active in college I had to shift gears away from the pool. I now play recreational pickleball and spend a lot of time on the treadmill. I am looking forward to some friendly camp competition and to helping everyone have a fun summer! See you all soon!

I have loved being a part of Decathlon for the past five years, it has become one of the highlights of my summer and a place where I can make so many memories. Over the years I have enjoyed doing gymnastics but currently am doing volleyball for my school and club teams! When I'm not playing volleyball I like to hike, listen to music, watch sunsets, hang out with friends and spend time with my family. I also really enjoy getting to meet new people and being outdoors! I am super excited to be a part of the amazing staff this year and overall, have an incredible summer. I cannot wait to make this year at camp the best one yet!

Being a camper was so exciting and fun, and I’m so stoked that I can be a part of my camper’s happy summers this year!

Olivia Bocchieri
Hi! My name is Olivia Bocchieri, and I am currently a full time student at Indiana University. I am going to be a Junior and am majoring in Film with a minor in Theatre. This will be my 11th year at Decathlon, starting out as a camper to now becoming a counselor. Every year, no matter if I was a camper or staff member, I look forward to coming back to camp. Lilley Stryker
Hi! My name is Lilley Stryker, and this will be my first summer at Decathlon. I’m so excited for the opportunity to meet everyone and make great memories!
This fall, I will be entering my Junior year at UC Santa Barbara, where I’m double majoring in Mathematics and Economics. I’m involved with several on-campus clubs such as Finance Connection and Women in Business, but in between classes you can usually find me at the beach. Next quarter, I’m incredibly excited to take a break from Santa Barbara to study abroad in Italy for three months with my best friend Melissa. While there, I’ll be traveling across Europe while taking classes on Italian art, food, and architecture, and am ecstatic for the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture.
Athletics have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up dancing on a competitive team for 7 years, traveling to perform in national competitions and even Disneyland parades. Dance allowed me to develop the perfect balance of teamwork as well as discipline, and I especially loved teaching the younger junior team girls— providing me with plenty of experience with kids. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found a passion for weightlifting, and you can find me in the gym 7 days a week without fail. I believe that staying active, learning the importance of teamwork, and making friends are some of the most important skills growing up that a child can get from sports. I’m looking forward to working at Decathlon and helping share my love of sports with your kids all summer!

Parker Mccabe
Hi! My name is Parker and this is my ninth year at Decathlon! Throughout my time both as a camper and as a JC, Decathlon has always been the highlight of my summer and has been an amazing place I can’t wait to return to year after year. I am a graduate of Los Altos High School and will be attending Cal Poly—SLO in the fall, where I plan to major in engineering. Throughout my time in high school, I’ve played water polo and been a part of my school’s swim team, choir, theater program, and have been involved in the National Honor Society (where I volunteer outside of school) and my school’s environmental club. I’m so excited to be back at Decathlon this summer!
Einav Garten
Hi! My name is Einav Garten, I am 16 years old, and this is my fourth summer at Decathlon. I am going into my junior year attending Los Altos High School, where I will play varsity field hockey for the third year. I have lived in the Bay Area my entire life, doing volleyball, soccer, basketball and track in middle school and winning valley finals in high jump in the 7th grade. Growing up with a younger sister and an older brother, I have always had a positive role model around the house and learned to become one too. I enjoy spending time with kids, mentoring them and watching them develop. Before Decathlon, I worked at an all girls summer sports camp and an arts and crafts shop for kids. Last summer at Decathlon, I loved getting to improve my leadership skills and learning how to connect with kids while encouraging their love of sports. I got to experience the amazing environment of inspiration and motivation that Decathlon offers, so I can't wait to come back and have another amazing summer this year, not only succeeding as a counselor but also having fun myself!

Ellie Westgate
Hi, my name is Ellie and this is my 12th summer at camp. I started at camp when I was 6 years old because my older brother raved about how much fun it was. I joined the next summer and have come back to each one since then. This is my fourth year on staff, first as a counselor. Every year I have a blast with my group and really enjoy getting to know each camper. I was born and raised in Mountain View, California with my 2 siblings who also attended camp. I was exposed to many sports at around age 5 including gymnastics, soccer, and basketball, and then later I tried softball and volleyball. I played volleyball and basketball all of middle school and slowly pulled away from all other sports to commit to competitive basketball.
I just finished four years at Mountain View High School as a varsity athlete and involved student. I played basketball for my high school team all four years, starting the last three seasons on varsity and being a captain this year. Also, this year I was a part of my school's inaugural flag football team, enjoying my spot as a captain and quarterback. As a student, I have worked hard to keep up my grades and be involved in different ways, and I am super excited to continue my academic journey at the University of Oregon next fall! I plan to study sports business and administration as an avid athletics lover.
Outside of school, I love hanging out with friends, being outside, and cooking in the kitchen. I also played on a local club basketball team last year and now enjoy coaching for the same program. As always, I am super excited to return to Decathlon this year for another awesome summer. Each year has been such an amazing experience, meeting new people and creating fun new memories. I can’t wait to work as a counselor this year, and may there be many more memories to come!
Sabrina Neal

I’m going into my junior year at Los Altos High School where I’ve played on the varsity softball team for 2 years. I was also the quarterback on the varsity flag football team for the first year of the program, and was nominated MVP. I’m so thankful for my time at Decathlon and am looking forward to a great summer!

Miles Wolf
Hi, I'm Miles! I've been coming to Decathlon as a camper and then staff member for 14 years now. I grew up in Sunnyvale and went to Wilcox High School, where I played baseball and water polo. Then I went to UC Santa Barbara, where I majored in Chemical Engineering and spent all the time I could at the beach. After graduating in 2020, I worked in Orange County as a Process Engineer.
In 2022, I decided to take a break from work and I started to travel. In the past few years, I've backpacked through most of Western Europe, explored parts of Southeast Asia, spent a lot of time in Mexico, some in Israel, and had adventures all over the US. Now I’m studying data science and learning all about Artificial Intelligence.
During my travels, I saw many unique places and met many amazing people, but a massive takeaway from it all is how many incredible places and people there are right here in the Bay Area. Decathlon is one of those places with so many awesome people! I had a blast working with the Group 1.5 boys last summer and I’m excited to work with the J7s this summer. Let’s have some fun!

Tapan Dave
Hi, my name is Tapan Dave, and this is my second summer at Decathlon as a Director. I was born and raised in San Jose and am proud to be able to be a part of Decathlon! Having a twin, younger brother who was extremely competitive prepared me for the many sports that I would play in the future. I was more than ready to play sports as early as 5 years old. I played volleyball, basketball, and track throughout my schooling. When college came, I completed my tenureship with both Bachelors and Masters degrees with the goal of teaching. Most of my time in college was spent mastering my craft in teaching students various skills and topics while also fostering a growth mindset. I am also an Athletic Director who strives to give students an opportunity to grow and experience sports in a positive environment. I’m looking forward to spending the summer working at Decathlon Sports Club. I wouldn't want to spend my summer any other way, and I hope to make your kids feel the same way! Let's have an amazing summer!
